Brazil has a very large market of testing machine and laboratory equipment and imported a lot from the manufacturer in China every year. The most popular products are compression testing machines, universal testing machines, and other kinds of concreting testing machines.

Brazil customs officials recently announced the alliance, the largest container port Santos in South America, began implementing the “zero action” on October 16th, if the demands are not met, from November 1st onwards will be the implementation of a comprehensive strike.

The strike is said to have been caused by the Brazil government’s failure to fulfil its promise to raise wages earlier this year.

Santos customs insiders say customs officials may clean up about 30% of all container shipments. In addition to extending the clearance time, the expensive storage costs will increase during the extension of customs clearance time.

Santos, a container terminal manager, says the action has been identified as the biggest accident before Christmas. Many exporters are eager to order goods as air cargo, to ensure the timely implementation of the contract commitments.

Jose Roque, executive president of the St Paul and Santos Shipping Association, warned that slowing economic growth and strikes could threaten Brazil’s economic recovery and make Brazil’s economic recovery more fragile.
