China-Maldives Friendship Bridge is an important bridge linking Maldives airport island and Mari island.
Located in the Maldives North Male Atoll, 2 km in length, it crosses the Gaadhoo Koa Strait and connects the three adjacent islands of Male Island, Airport Island (Coral Lake Island) and Hulu Male on the atoll.
It is the most important island connection project in Maldives.

It mainly comprises a 1,390-meter long sea-crossing bridge and a roadbed of about 600 m.
The bridge is equipped with two one-way navigable holes with a navigable net width of 70 meters, a navigable net height of 12 meters and a designed speed of 60 km/h.
The bridge consists of 27 piers and abutments, 149 bored piles.
The superstructure is a single box and single room box girder structure. The main bridge is a V-leg + composite beam continuous rigid frame bridge, and the approach bridge is an I-beam bridge.
The design life is 100 years.

China-Maldives Friendship Bridge is jointly constructed by the Ministry of Commerce of China, the Malaysian government and The Second Harbor Engineering Company, or SHEC. The general contractor is SHEC.
